Olympic Athlete Trains Massage Students
Massage Students Work With Former Olympic Athlete
Ena instructs students at the Athens Institute for Massage in Medical Massage, Sports Massage and Personal Training. Mrs. Weinstein is a talented massage therapist, professional trainer and actress, and has dual degrees in Occupational Therapy and Exercise Physiology.
At a diminutive 5’5”, few people would guess that her many accomplishments include credentials as a professional athlete. She represented Peru, her native country, in the 1984 and the 1992 Olympics. Ena also placed 10th in the grueling Woman Overall division of the Boston Marathon.
Modest about her personal accomplishments, Ena proudly comments on the ground-breaking L.A. Olympics.
“The 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles was the first time women had competed in the marathon. So I am part of history.”
Dr. Koeppel, D.C. , Academic Director for A.I.M., is enthusiastic about Ms. Weinstein’s most recent historic accomplishments. “Ena is the first Olympic athlete teaching in the field of massage. We are proud that she is making history again and this time it is happening at our massage school.”
A.I.M. massage students have already benefited from Ena’s expertise. They began their own fitness regime by training with her during classes at the Omni and Athens YMCA.
